The whole of Ghana has been entrusted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the country’s bishops 50 years after the African nation gained independence.
Following the ceremony, which was performed on Tuesday, the bishops also issued a special pastoral letter marking three main objectives for celebration during Ghana’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
First amongst causes for celebration, said the bishops was Ghana’s landmark achievement in becoming the first country in Black Africa to attain independence from colonial rule.
