KOLKATA, MARCH 12 : West Bengal is all set to explore business opportunities with Ghana in the area of small and medium enterprises.
A business delegation from Ghana met state industry minister Nirupam Sen on Monday. "The delegation expressed the willingness to import jute fibre to make bags, which will increase the scope for employment in Ghana. The members also showed interest in food processing and the machinery industry," Sen said.
The minister has suggested that the delegation hold a discussion with the Jute Manufacturing Association (JMA).
Ghana is looking forward to working with India closely in various fields of economic development, especially in agriculture and agro-processing, IT, HRD, small-scale industries, technology for manufacturing and industrial purposes, drugs and medical equipment, roads, railways and rural infrastructure.
